Full Itinerary
Day 1: Yangon Arrival (B)
Mingalabar! Welcome to Yangon. Today, our tour guide will welcome you at the airport. We understand there will be a bit tired after the flight so our driver will quickly transfer you to the hotel for check-in.
In the afternoon, we will make the only visit of the day at Bogyoke Market, the largest bazaar in Yangon where you will have a first glimpse at the daily trading of the city-dwellers. (Note: the market is closed on Mondays and the gazette holidays). Overnight in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon – Bagan (B)
Leave Yangon early this morning to take a flight to Bagan. upon arrival, our guide will lead you to Nyaung U Market, the most lively market in Bagan to gaze out at the life of the local people. After that, you will spend the rest of the day exploring the man-made masterpiece of Bagan packed among over 2000 old temples. Your sightseeing may include Ananda, one of the most beautiful and well-preserved pagodas, Dhammayan Gyi the largest temple in Bagan, Htilomino a charming red brick temple, Thatbynyu the tallest temple in Bagan, Sulamani the temple with many frescos on the interior and more.
In the late afternoon, make your way to the sunset hill to capture one of the best sunsets in the world. As the sun immerses everything in golden light, sit back and enjoy the laid-back scenery of the peaceful countryside with countless ancient temples. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 3: Bagan & Villages (B)
Today is an amazing day for you to gain an insight into the local life in the serene villages of Bagan. After breakfast, our guide will pick you up at a village where you can have an interesting meeting with the local people. Next, highlight your sightseeing of the day as you get on a horse carriage to slowly pass through the snaking and dusty roads to enter the destinations that cannot be accessed by car.
In the late afternoon, transfer to the jetty where you will embark on a cruise ship down the Irrawaddy River to see the idyllic beauty of the river in sunset time and gaze out at the daily life of the people along the riverside.

Day 4: Bagan – Mandalay – Amarapura (B)
Say goodbye to Bagan this morning to board a domestic flight to Mandalay, the cultural center of Myanmar. Upon arrival, head to the Mahamuni Pagoda, the second most sacred pagoda next to the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon enshrining the great Buddha images. Nothing better than visiting a local workshop of gold leaf, woodcarving, and marble carving. After that, make your next visit to the Golden Palace Monastery to admire the intricated architecture featured on the Buddha images, walls, and roof.
Continue your sightseeing at Kuthodaw pagoda where you will have a chance to witness the largest Buddhist book in the world carved on 729 marble slabs. Finally, fulfill your exciting day at U Bein Bridge, the longest and oldest teak bridge in the world to save your best photos. To marvel at the panoramic beauty of the bridge, let's take a boat trip to sail around Taungthaman Lake, enjoy a glass of champagne and enjoy the view.
Day 5: Mandalay – Irrawaddy River – Mingun – Sagaing (B)
Following your breakfast on a scenic boat trip up the Irrawaddy River reach Mingun, the sleeping town where you will spend the time admiring the second largest intact bronze bell in the world and listening to the story of the construction of the massive unfinished Mingun Paya.
After that, head toward the south to reach Ava, the ancient capital of Burma. Crossing through the Ava Bridge, you will reach the magnificent Sagaing Hill from there you can marvel at the panoramic view of the beautiful river and the surrounding town. A visit to the silverware cottage industry and clay pot making then will introduce you to the traditional handicrafts of the rural dwellers. Before spending the time to watch the sunset at Sagaing Hill, make your visit to a local Nunery to learn about their daily life.
Day 6: Mandalay – Heho – Inle Lake (B)
Rise early this morning to take a flight to Heho, the gateway to Inle Lake. Our driver will wait to transfer you to a boat trip to transfer to the hotel for check-in. After a short break, visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, an important religious site in Shan State. Enjoy your stunning boat trip and pass through the endless floating gardens, houses, and wooden monasteries built on stilts.
Our guide will lead you to the local handicraft, silk weaving, wooden handlooms, and traditional blacksmith to gaze out at the production of the region. From there, head to Nampan village to visit a local cheroot factory where Burmese cigars and canoes are made.
Day 7: Inle Lake – Indein – Yangon (B)
Power up your wonderful morning with a visit to the local market to soak up the early vibrant atmosphere of the hill tribes wearing colorful outfits and selling their local products. From here get on a boat trip and row through the narrow canal to the ancient village of Indein which is famous for thousands of shrines and old stupas dating back to the 8th century. Enjoy your views around the site and spend your time walking through the colonnade where you will capture various Burmese souvenirs.
After finishing your exploration in the temple, walk toward the village of Pa-Oh people where you will meet the special long neck women who live mainly by weaving and making handicrafts. Spend your time chatting and learning about the story behind the big rings around their neck before returning to Inle Lake. Along the way back, you will capture the most expected image for visitors traveling to Inle: the local Intha fishermen who have been famous for their fishing method using one leg to keep an oar and another leg to stand on the boat. Save your best photos and then transfer to the airport to board a flight to Yangon.
Day 8: Yangon Departure (B)
