Day 1: Vientiane arrival (D)
On arrival at the Vientiane, we will be welcomed and transferred to the hotel. After a short rest, we start visiting the major sights of the capital; including the Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. We then stop at the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph for some photo shots before moving to Lao’s national precious heritage, the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa. Overnight in Vientiane.
Day 2: Vientiane – Nam Ngum Lake (B, L)
After breakfast, we head out of the city. We make our way to Nam Ngum, a huge reservoir created by damming the Nam Ngum River, stopping over at Ban Keun, which is famous for its salt extraction plant and a village of local Lao rice wine whiskey distillation. On arrival at the lake, we embark on a long tail boat visiting fisherman villages in varied islets. We visit some beautiful islets and take a short walk to explore the lifestyle of the local fishermen. Overnight in Vientiane.
Day 3: Vientiane – Luang Prabang (B)
Time will be free until our car and driver arrives to take us to the airport for a noon flight to Luang Prabang. On arrival, we will be welcomed by our local guide and driven to our hotel. After a short rest, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai. We then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. From there, we explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by the hill tribe and local people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 4: Luang Prabang – Kuangsi Waterfall (B, L)
Get up early in the morning; we will anticipate in the morning Alms Giving. This tradition is unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession.
After that, we will be back to our hotel for a proper breakfast. We then visit the morning Phosi Market, where we see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. We then visit some Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, Hmong Village, Ban Ou, Laoloum Village and Ban Thapene, Khmu Village, then drive to the beautiful Kuangsi Waterfall where we can cool off with a refreshing swim in the turquoise pools or walk along the forest trails. We return to the city by late evening to observe the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 5: Luang Prabang – Multi Activities (Soft trekking) (B, L)
After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to All Lao Service where we will experience the protected Elephants at the “Elephant Park Project” along the Nam Khan riverbanks. Here you can enjoy many activities such as feed the elephants by the banana bought directly from the field. Then if you wish, try bathing the elephants on the river with the mahouts. That would be so much fun! A short and easy hiking tour will lead us out into the Fair Trek project area where the village’s profit comes directly from our visit. A small Khamu community lives below a high rising mountain range. Depending on the time available, our Lao style lunch will be served at Ban Houay Fai and return to Tad Sae waterfall, the boat ride back to All Lao Services.

Day 6: Luang Prabang – Hanoi (B)
Time will be free until our car arrives to take us to the airport for a noon flight to Hanoi. Welcome on arrival by local tour guide and driver then we transfer to the hotel. After a short rest, we enjoy a 1-hour cyclo tour of the French-inspired "Old Quarter". We will be free for shopping in the old quarter ranges from markets through to designer boutique stores to amazing contemporary art galleries. We will then sit down to enjoy the performance of the city’s famous Water Puppets. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 7: Hanoi Orientation (B, L)
Today we will venture out to explore Hanoi. First up we will drive to the Ho Chi Minh complex where we will spend time at Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum, his former stilt-house, the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Museum and One Pillar Pagoda. Following we visit the Temple of Literature, which originally built as a temple to Confucius.
After lunch, we visit the Museum of Ethnology, which is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam's 54 Ethnic minority peoples and the infamous Hoa Loa Prison Museum. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 8: Hanoi – Halong (B, L, D)
Today we set off to the ‘Jewel in the Crown of Vietnam: Halong Bay. Arriving before lunch we will board our boat and then set sail, cruising amongst thousands of extraordinary limestone karst formations.
On arrival in Halong, we will embark on V’Spirit Classic Cruise followed by a short cruise briefing. We will then savor a delectable lunch while V’Spirit Classic cruises among the limestone islands. In the mid-afternoon, we will kayak among the hidden areas of the bay, around the Bo Nau Cave area before going back to the V’Spirit Classic and continue cruising to Soi Sim Island. Go swimming and relaxing at the beach of Soi Sim or climb up to the top of the island for a panorama view of Halong Bay.
In the evening, we will cruise back to the main boat for a shower before having dinner and spend the night on board.
Day 9: Halong – Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
Wake up early in the morning and start your day with Tai Chi exercises or a photo hunt before having breakfast. After that, we will explore the amazing Sung Sot Cave – the nicest cave in Halong Bay. After that, we will return to the boat, freshen up and check out of our cabin. Continue our cruise exploring the Bay, passing Ba Hang fishing village, Dog Islet, and more. While heading back to the harbor, watch the cooking demonstration before enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch. We will disembark at around noon and find our car is waiting and take us to the airport in Hanoi for an evening flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, we will be met and driven to the hotel where we spend the night.
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City Tour (B, L)
Pick up at the hotel at around 8:30 AM, we will visit the Reunification Palace, which is one of the most important buildings in the city. We will call in at the War Remnants Museum or formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, this is a poignant display of the futility of war. We then visit Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office. Built between 1877 and 1883 this is one of the best examples of classical French colonial architecture.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we continue to visit Giac Lam Pagoda. This is HCMC's oldest pagoda, dating back to 1744 and one of the finest in Vietnam. We will then have free time for shopping at Ben Thanh Market, this bustling, and well-organized market is very popular with tourists, primarily due to its central location. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (B, L)
Pick up at the hotel in the morning, we transfer to Vinh Long. The program will start with a visit to Vinh Long market in the town. This is the best choice for us to take pictures of fish, shrimps, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits, vegetables...
After that, we will travel by boat to visit the brick kilns where we can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. Then, come to visit the orchard & traditional house. We will enjoy some kinds of fruits and tea when listening to traditional music at Ut Trinh home. The rowing boat takes us deeper into the countryside on smaller canals so we can enjoy the peaceful time. It is so interesting to see traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves and see some activities of the local farmers with an opportunity to make contacts with them and see how they catch fish or pick up fruits by ancestral ways in Mekong Delta. In the late afternoon, we return to Ho Chi Minh City for overnight accommodation.
Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City – Yangon (B, D)
Time will be free until our car arrives to take us to the airport for a noon flight to Yangon. Welcome upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, we will transfer to our hotel. This evening, we will have dinner at Karaweik Palace, overlooking the Royal Lake and Shwedagon tower with fine Burmese food and an amazing cultural show. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 13: Yangon city tour (B, L)
Today, we continue visiting this former capital city. We first visit the Sule Pagoda, in the heart of Yangon city; Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda and Kandawgyi Lake. After lunch, we discover the most outstanding pagoda in Yangon: Shwedagon Pagoda. The “Golden Pagoda” is really a must-see while we are in Myanmar. We will finish our day with free time for shopping in the bustling Scott market. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 14: Yangon – Fly to Bagan – Temple Visit (B, L)
Today, we will take the early morning flight to Bagan. Bagan is Myanmar’s archaeological wonderland and there are more than 3,000 ancient temples blossom from the countryside. Start your day tour with a trip to the bustling Nyang U Market in Old Bagan and then explore the beauty of gold leaf Shwezigon Pagoda and learn about Burmese Buddhist traditions.
A visit to Ananda Temple is our next stop of this day tour, stopping along the way on the Bagan plains to admire some of the surrounding temples. In the afternoon, take a tour of a local lacquerware workshop and explore how this traditional piece of art is made. Overnight in hotel in Bagan.
Day 16: Bagan – Mount Popa (B, L)
Depart our hotel and we transfer to the wharf. We then take a private boat for a downstream journey on the Irrawaddy River (it takes us from 2 to 3 h depending on river conditions) to Salay town, then one that developed during the late Bagan era. Visit the Yoke Sone Monastery with its outstanding woodcarvings on the outside of the building. Travel by van to Mount Popa (65 km and takes us 1.5 hours), an extinct volcano with spectacular views. Its shrine is dedicated to animist spirits known as “Nats” and we will have a chance to challenge ourselves to climb the 777 steps to the shrine at the top of the peak. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Return to Bagan and photo stop at a local village and a toddy palm plantation. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 15: Bagan –Fly to Mandalay (B, L)
This morning, we will take a short flight to Mandalay, famous for the hub of Buddhism in Myanmar, Mandalay has a realm of stupas, monks, and monasteries. On arrival at Mandalay Airport, we will be welcomed by our local guide and transferred to our hotel. After check-in, we will visit Mandalay Palace, Shwenandaw Monastery - noted for its exquisite woodcarvings, gold leaf beating workshop and Kuthodaw Pagoda - known for containing the world’s largest book and concludes the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the sunset and the panoramic view of the city. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 17: Mandalay – Fly to Heho – Inle Lake sightseeing (B, L)
After breakfast at the hotel, we take a flight to Heho and drive to Inle Lake. Inle Lake, the second largest lake in Myanmar, is located 900 meters above sea level. The lake is home to the Intha People, a Tibeto-Burman ethnic group, known for their one leg rowing techniques.
Upon arrival, we board a motorboat for sightseeing to Phaungdawoo Pagoda, famed for its richly gilded five small Buddha images and also believed to be the holiest in Inle Lake. Our next visit is Ngaphechaung Monastery, known as “jumping cat” pagoda. As we travel further into Nam Pan village cotton and lotus weaving factories and cigar making houses will impress you with a sense of traditional Intha life. Overnight in Inle Lake.
Day 18: Inle Lake – Indein – Yangon (B)
This morning, we will visit the unique “5-Day Market” held in different villages surrounding the lake. This is absolutely a magnificent place to enjoy the scene of local tribes in their colorful clothes and then experience the exotic market atmosphere. After lunch, the boat will take us to the beautiful temple of Indein, located on the hill overlooking the lake. It will certainly be relaxing to walk along the corridor and enjoy the giant columns which have been left nature for centuries. We will then drive to the airport for an afternoon flight to Yangon. Overnight will be in Yangon.
Day 19: Yangon Departure (B)
