Day 1: Mandalay Arrival – Half-Day City Tour
Being famous as the hub of Buddhism in Myanmar, Mandalay has a realm of stupas, monks and monasteries. On arrival at Mandalay International Airport, we will be welcomed by our local guide and transferred to our hotel. After check-in, we will visit Mandalay Palace to witness the residence of the last Burmese King and Queen. From there drive to Shwenandaw Monastery - noted for its exquisite woodcarvings, gold leaf beating workshop. Head to Kuthodaw Pagoda - known for containing the world’s largest book and concludes the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the sunset and the panoramic view of the city. Overnight accommodation in Mandalay.
Day 2: Mandalay – Sagaing – Amarapura (B)
On this day tour, we leave the city for Sagaing Hill - an important religious site in Myanmar where we will learn about the schooling of monks, visit Buddha Cave - the fascinating complex of tunnels famous for its intricated painting depicts the life of Buddha, U Min Thonze Pagoda where enshrines 45 gilded Buddha images, and Sunooponnyashin Pagoda.
Finally, take in the panoramic view of Mandalay from the top of the hill. Our next stop of this day tour is Amarapura, which is famous for Mahagandaryone Monastery - the best place to experience the daily lives of the monks in Mandalay. Enjoying our walking over U Bein Wooden Bridge, the longest teak bridge in the world where you can capture the gorgeous beauty of the sunset over Taungthanman Lake from a stunning boat trip.

Day 3: Mandalay – Day boat to Bagan (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, our car will transfer us to the jetty for the daily boat along the Irrawaddy River from Mandalay to Bagan. Arrive Bagan in the late afternoon between 15:00 and 17:00 depends on the water level, we will transfer to the hotel in Bagan for check-in. The rest of the day will be free at leisure. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 4: Bagan Sightseeing (B)
Bagan is Myanmar’s archaeological wonderland and there are more than 2,000 ancient temples blossom from the countryside. Start your day tour with a trip to the bustling Nyang U Market in Old Bagan and then explore the beauty of gold leaf Shwezigon Pagoda and learn about Burmese Buddhist traditions. Continue visiting Ananda Temple, one of the most beautiful temples in Bagan dating back to the 12th century. Along the way, stopping on the Bagan plains to admire some of the surrounding temples.
In the afternoon, take a tour of a local lacquerware workshop and explore how this traditional piece of art is made.

Day 5: Bagan – Mt. Popa – Bagan (B)
Leaving the beautiful Bagan temples behind, we begin our day trip from Bagan to Mt Popa. Join the pilgrims as they ascend Mt. Popa and admire the crazy statues that line the walkway, along with the monkeys that live on the mountain. Once at the peak, guests can relax and bask in the glorious views of Bagan. We then return to Bagan for a short cruise on the Irrawaddy River at sunset.
We spend the night in a hotel in Bagan.
Day 6: Bagan Discovery by Horse Cart – Fly to Heho – Inle Lake (B)
After breakfast, we will take an exotic horse cart ride to one of the largest temples in Bagan: Nan Paya Pagoda and many other interesting sites nearby continue with sightseeing to MinkabaGubyaukyi Temple, take note of the architectural difference in MyaZedi Pagoda before heading to Manuha Temple.
After lunch, check out at the hotel and then transfer to the airport to take a domestic flight to Heho, the gateway to Inle Lake.

Day 7: Inle Lake Sightseeing (B)
Today is a full day to explore Inle Lake, the second largest lake in Myanmar which is located 900 meters above sea level. The lake is home to the Intha People, a Tibeto-Burman ethnic group, known for their one leg rowing techniques.
Upon arrival, we board a motorboat for sightseeing to Phaungdawoo Pagoda, famed for its richly gilded five small Buddha images and also believed to be the holiest in Inle Lake. Our next visit is Ngaphechaung Monastery, known as “jumping cat” pagoda. As we travel further into Nam Pan village cotton and lotus weaving factories and cigar making houses will impress you with a sense of traditional Intha life. Overnight in Inle Lake.
Day 8: Inle Lake – Indein – Fly to Yangon (B)
This morning, we will visit the unique “5-Day Market” held in different villages surrounding the lake. This is absolutely a magnificent place to enjoy the scene of local tribes in their colorful clothes and then experience the exotic market atmosphere. After lunch, the boat will take us to the beautiful temple of Indein, located on the hill overlooking the lake. It will certainly be relaxing to walk along the corridor and enjoy the giant columns which have been left nature for centuries. We will then drive to the airport for an afternoon flight to Yangon. Overnight will be in Yangon.
Day 9: Yangon City Tour (B)
In this formerly capital city, we spend a full day exploring Yangon and its highlights from Sule Pagoda, in the heart of Yangon city; Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda and Kandawgyi Lake.
After lunch, discover the most outstanding pagoda in Yangon: Shwedagon Pagoda. The “Golden Pagoda” is really a must-see pagoda while we are in Myanmar. Enjoy some shopping in the bustling Scott market. (Note: the market is closed on Mondays and gazette holiday).
Our most highlighted experience for this evening is dinner in Karaweik Palace, overlooking the Royal Lake and Shwedagon Tower. A meal of fine Burmese food will be served followed by a beautiful cultural show of music and dancing.
Overnight in Yangon.
Day 10: Yangon Departure (B)
Free time until our car arrives to take us to Yangon International Airport for our flight home. Trip ends. We hope that you love the itinerary we design for a 10-day tour Myanmar.
