Bagan Kwan Zaw Min 326-348, was just a lower class service man of palm- leave trade revenue collector at the King Taung Thu Gyi Min’s court. When he went out to do his routine duties, he brought a bundle of food prepared by his mother. Before noon he used to take lunch under a Zaung Gyan tree, just before eating he usually offered the guardian Nat, Zaung Gyan tree some food.
One day the guardian Nat, botanical lord joyously let him see his real image, and prophesied that he would become a king in Bagan counseling to observe the five precepts, and avoid doing major evil deeds of five kinds. Then when he went to Bagan to see the would-be king, the Zaung Gyan tree Nat appeared in the guise of an old man gave him a horse, a spear and one set of king’s royal wears, thus accidentally Kwan Zaw Min became King of Bagan in 326 A.D.
