Myanmar Earthquake 2025 | Vision Heart Foundation and Go Myanmar Tours stands with Myanmar in Times of Crisis

Myanmar Earthquake 2025 - Vision Heart Foundation and Go Myanmar Tours

In late March, a devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 struck Myanmar, leaving behind a heartbreaking trail of destruction. Over 3,600 lives were lost, and thousands of families were left without shelter, facing harsh conditions with limited emergency resources. This natural disaster marks one of the most severe calamities Myanmar has ever faced.

For Go Myanmar Tours, a proud brand under Viet Vision Holdings, this tragedy hit especially close to home. Since 2007, we have been honored to bring thousands of international travelers to this beautiful and spiritually rich Buddhist nation. Myanmar has been more than just a destination - it has been a partner, a friend, and a second home.

Immediate Action in a Time of Need

In the face of unimaginable loss, action speaks louder than words. As soon as news of the earthquake broke, Viet Vision Holdings responded swiftly and compassionately. Our Board of Directors reached out immediately to our long-time local partner, Mr. Sammy from Shalom, and allocated a $1,000 USD donation to initiate emergency relief efforts.

With this support, a dedicated humanitarian team traveled from Yangon to Mandalay, one of the heavily affected areas. They delivered critical relief supplies such as clean drinking water, food, hygiene products, and other essentials directly into the hands of those who needed them most. In times when government and international aid are stretched thin, these grassroots efforts offer immediate and tangible help - a lifeline for communities left in despair.

More Than Travel: A Heartfelt Commitment

At Go Myanmar Tours, our work goes far beyond planning trips and organizing tours. Our mission has always been to build bridges between cultures, nurture mutual respect, and create deep human connections. We know the people. We know their villages, their customs, their temples, and their stories. And in these trying times, we cannot and will not turn away.

Our extensive local partnerships, combined with our deep cultural insight, allow us to respond not just as a business, but as a true member of the Myanmar community. We stand by our belief that travel can be a force for good - not just when the skies are clear, but especially when the storm hits.

This recent disaster has reinforced one of our deepest values:
“We don’t just create travel experiences; we create bonds rooted in humanity, compassion, and responsibility.”

A Call for Solidarity

We now turn to our friends, our partners, and our fellow travel professionals - not only in Vietnam but around the world. Whether you’re a travel agency that has operated in Myanmar, a guest who has visited this incredible country, or simply someone who believes in the power of kindness - this is the time to act.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Make a donation - even small contributions go a long way in times of crisis.
  • Share this message to raise awareness and keep Myanmar in global conversations.
  • Offer supplies or logistics support if you’re a business with access to essentials.
  • Send a message of solidarity - moral support uplifts communities in ways you can’t imagine.

Every act of generosity - no matter how big or small - brings hope. Because when disaster strikes, it is our collective compassion that becomes the greatest strength.

Moving Forward Together

At Go Myanmar Tours, we remain committed not just to rebuilding tourism, but to rebuilding hope - one action at a time. Our pledge is not only to bring travelers back to Myanmar when the time is right but to stand with its people right now, when they need us most.

We believe in responsible tourism, in making a positive impact wherever we go. And today, that means showing Myanmar that they are not alone. Let us all be reminded that travel connects us, and in times like these, those connections become the threads that bind us together in compassion, unity, and resilience.
