Full Itinerary
Day 1: Mandalay Arrival – Half Day City Tour (L, D)
Mingalabar! Welcome to Mandalay, the city of cultural richness.
Today, meet your local guide at the airport and then transfer directly to the hotel to check-in. After settling into your hotel, take a half-day trip in Mandalay to explore the treasure of the former royal capital. Take a scenic drive to Amarapura to explore Mahaganayone monastery, home to thousands of monks. Here you will have a chance to discover the daily life and Buddhist education.After that, make your way to U Bein Bridge, the longest and oldest teak bridge in the world which has gently curved across the Taungthaman Lake for over 200 years. Get your camera ready to save your best shots to the beautiful bridge from an interesting boat trip before moving to Mahamuni Pagoda, home to the country’s most highly revered golden Buddha image. Take your time to wander around the pagoda to observe the daily homage before returning to the hotel. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 2: Mandalay – Mingun (B, L, D)
Today is a full day for you to explore the treasure of Mandalay. After breakfast, take a private boat trip to Mingun, a small charming village on the bank of Irrawaddy River. Make your first visit of the day to Mingun Bell, the world’s second-largest ringing bell. From here, take a leisure walk to Mingun Pahtodawgyi, the enormous ruin of the largest unfinished pagoda. See the massive cracks that were created by the disasters through the decades. Before returning to Mandalay, visit Hsinbyume Pagoda (or Myathetan Pagoda).In the afternoon, head to Kuthodaw Pagoda, the super marvelous complex of golden stupa and 729 white-washed marble slabs which is famous as the world’s largest Buddhist book. Next up, drive to Shwenandaw Monastery, which used to be a part of the royal palace where King Mindon of Burma lived. In the late afternoon, head up to Mandalay Hill where you can contemplate the panoramic view to the city. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 3: Mandalay – Bagan Cruise (B, L, D)
Today will be a long day of cruising from Mandalay to Bagan. The route along the lifeblood will take you through the mesmerizing landscape of the Golden Land to behold the scenic beauty. Sit on the sundeck and enjoy the view.
Day 4: Bagan Temple Tour (B, L, D)
We spend the whole day to unlock the charm and mythical beauty of Bagan through the magnificent temples: the man-made masterpiece of Burmese people. Get up early this morning to get a glimpse at the lively atmosphere of the locals at Nyaung U Market, the authentic bazaar in Bagan. Stroll around the market area to taste, smell, and see the real-life of people.Afterward, follow your guide to Shwezigon Pagoda to marvel at the impressive golden stupa which is said to be home to the sacred relics of the Buddha. Listen to your guide to know more about the nine wonders of the pagoda before we drive to Ananda temple, regarded by folklore as one of the most beautiful temples in Bagan. Then, gain more local insights into the local production with a visit to the lacquerware workshop to observe the skillful artisans create unique items. Along your way, you can stop at several spots to gaze out at some ancient temples. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 5: Bagan Morning Hot Air Balloon & Village Discovery (B, L, D)
The morning of day 5 gives you an amazing opportunity: take a hot air balloon ride to marvel at the whole archaeological area of Bagan. The 45-minute ride will enable you to float over thousands of temples scatted on the plain revealing its charm as the sun flickers into the sky. (Note that the hot air balloon is always full in the high season, so if you want to take it, please tell us in advance so we can well arrange the trip for you).After that, we head deep to the heart of Bagan to visit the tranquil villages. Take this chance to meet, interact and share your own cultural experiences with the locals. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 6: Bagan– Fly to Heho – Inle Lake – Indein (B, L, D)
After breakfast this morning, the driver will pick you up to transfer to the airport to take a domestic flight to Heho, the gateway to Inle Lake. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Then we take a boat trip to Indein, an ancient village where you will spend your time to discover the great complex of Indein Pagoda. Among them, some are well-kept with gold, some are mossy-tiled and dominated by nature. Walkthrough the colonnade of the pagoda to gaze out at some unique souvenirs.Leaving the pagoda, we make our way to the village of long neck women. Take this chance to learn more about the story of big rings around their neck and see their traditional weaving. Overnight in Inle Lake.
Day 7: Inle Lake – Sagar (B, L, D)
The morning of day 7 takes you to Sagar, a remote village on the southern shore of Inle Lake. The peaceful village is where you will discover ancient pagodas and 108 “sunken stupas”. You will visit Thaya Gone Village to climb up to the top of the hill to marvel at the panoramic view surrounding. Then proceed to Kyaing Kan Village where you will see the locals weave monk’s robes from fibers pulled from the lotus stems. It is also recommended to stop on a market to see local trade and people arrayed in their colorful costumes.
Day 8: Inle Lake – Fly to Yangon – Half-Day Sightseeing (B, L, D)
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport to take a flight to Yangon. On arrival, enjoy a short break before you take the rest of the day to explore Yangon. Make your first visit to Sule Pagoda, an impressive golden pagoda noted for the 44-meter high stupa dating back to 2500 years ago.
The next highlight is Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, home to the 66 meters long reclining Buddha image. At the foot of the statue is carved with many unique symbols that local people often gather to pay homage. Proceed to Kandawgyi Lake, the serene artificial lake where you can take many beautiful photos of the magnificent Karaweik Palace – one of the most wonderful landmarks in the city.Excite your sense as you take a trip to the Bogyoke Aungsan market, the largest bazaar in Yangon where is a paradise of shopping. In the market area, you will discover an array of local products, gems, handicrafts, and jewelry. Before sunset, make your way to Shwedagon Pagoda, the greatest heritage site in the city. Standing on the top of the hill, it can be seen from every corner of Yangon. Enjoy the fabulous view of the pagoda platform when the sun emerges everything in golden light.
Day 9: Yangon – Kawthaung (B, L, D)
This morning, say goodbye to Yangon to board a flight to Kawthaung, the primary gateway to the paradise island of the Mergui Archipelago. After check-in at Victoria Cliff Hotel hotel, enjoy a welcome lunch at the restaurant.This afternoon, follow your guide to Maliwun Waterfall. If you want to play with the water, please bring extra clothes. If time permits, we would go to the natural hot spring for relaxing. After that, we sightseeing around the town to visit several attractions in the region including Pyi Taw Aye Pagoda and Su TaungPyae Pagoda. We also make our way to Bayintnaung Hill, the landmark of Kawthaung. Be amazed by the astounding view of Kawthaung and the Andaman Sea. Then we also set foot on Bayintnaung Point. In the late afternoon, enjoy the breathtaking sunset view on the seashore after having dinner at the restaurant.
Day 10: Kawthaung – Nyaung Oo Phee Island (B, L, D)
This morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast at Victoria Cliff Hotel & Resort. At about 8 am, we meet at the hotel lobby. Then meet your guide to learning how to use a life jacket. You also learn local knowledge about the way to Nyaung Oo Phee (NOP) Island and snorkeling spots before you reach there. About 9 am, we transfer to Kawthaung jetty to take a 1 hour 45 min speedboat ride to Nyaung Oo Phee Island, a wonderful paradise in the Andaman Sea. After check-in at the hotel, start 3 hours snorkeling tour. After that, you will enjoy your time with some pastry, seasonal fruit, and soft drink.In the evening, reward yourself with a beachside dinner with freshly grilled seafood drawn straight from the Andaman Sea. This night, enjoy a traditional basic dance of Myanmar and fire dance show on the island. Then enjoy your time at leisure on the peaceful island.
Day 11: Nyaung Oo Phe Island (B, L, D)
Today is a full day to discover the untouched beauty of Nyaung Oo Phe Island. This morning, join in interesting snorkeling. After that, relax on the resort which is surrounded by natural beauty.Following your afternoon activity with a snorkeling tour near the Nyaung Oo Phee Island. Take this chance to observe the wonderful marine life on the island with an array of colorful coral reefs, fish and other beautiful creatures. After a scrumptious dinner and cultural show this evening, you are free to enjoy the tranquil ambiance on the beach.
Day 12: Nyaung Oo Phe Island – Kawthaung (B, L, D)
After breakfast this morning, enjoy your leisure time on the island. You can choose either to take a photoshoot, sunbathe, kayaking or hike to the Nyaung Oo Phe Island viewpoint. After a buffet lunch, we check-out from Victoria Cliff Resort.
This afternoon, we take a speedboat to transfer back to Kawthaung.
Day 13: Kawthaung Discovery– Fly to Yangon(B, L, D)
This morning gives you a chance to enjoy your time at leisure at the resort. You can wander to take some lovely pictures or have some great treatments at the spa after many long days of sightseeing. In the afternoon, check out from Victoria Cliff Resort (Kawthaung) to transfer to the airport to take a flight back to Yangon.
Day 14: Yangon, Departure (B)
