Full Itinerary
Day 1: Phnom Penh (D)
On arrival at the airport in Phnom Penh, we will be met and welcome by our tour guide and then transfer to the hotel. After a short rest, we visit the ornate Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda with a floor that is laid with more than 5,000 silver tiles! Move on to the Russian market, where the sights and smells will fill your senses in the narrow aisles and passionate locals.
Tonight, we will enjoy the welcome dinner on the Kanika boat cruise along Mekong & Tonle Sap Rivers.
Day 2: Phnom Penh – Phnom Tamao Wildlife Sanctuary (B, L, D)
Today, we will have a full-day ATV ride (Quad bike). Enjoy the new dawn and discover Cambodia as it really is. We will enjoy the breathtaking landscape while going through country back roads and crossing the forest, unusual bridges and streams, visiting small colorful villages, and having first-hand experience with the local people. See life in their typical homes. The tour includes a local-style lunch served by the Tonlé Bati Lakeside, where we also explore an Angkorian-Era temple.
After lunch, the tour continues to the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Sanctuary, where permanent shelter is given to animals confiscated from illegal traffickers or saved from poachers. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 3: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap: Angkor Thom & Bayon (B, D)
After breakfast, we will transfer to the airport for a short flight to Siem Reap. On arrival, we will be transferred to the hotel. After a short rest, we will explore Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Khmer Empire. The exploration continues from the Terraces of Elephant and the Leper King to the Baphuon temple just re-opened to the public in 2011 June after 50 years of restoration, the main temple of Bayon, which has similarities to the 216 gigantic faces of the temple's towers to other statues of the king.
At the end of the day will be enjoyed the sunset view at Prasat Chroung, on the wall of Angkor Thom, with a bottle of champagne and fruits. Then, after the sun wanes, we return by the royal boat cruise through the ancient moat. Tonight we will enjoy the Apsara Performance depicting Khmer mythology.
Day 4: Siem Reap: Angkor Wat & Banteay Srei (B, L)
Today, get up early and enter the Angkor National Park and view the sunrise over Srah Srang a manmade lake used as the royal bath. While waiting for the sunrise, we will enjoy hot tea or coffee and biscuits. Then, continue to visit the picturesque Ta Prohm temple, which has nearly disappeared in the jungle and the remains overgrown, an oddly haunting and exotic scene. The magnificent roots of a tree, pushing between the huge stone blocks of the temple in a sort of embrace, evoke feelings that we may remember forever.
Ending this trip is visiting the Tanai temple, which is sitting in the middle of the jungle, before returning to the hotel for breakfast, or having breakfast at the Tanai temple. Continue to visit Angkor Wat, which is the main attractive temple that extends over approximately 200 hectares. In the afternoon, we will drive through the lovely countryside, where palm sugar is produced, and visit Banteay Srei, and also visit the Chao Srei Vibol temple, which is one of the off-the-beaten-track Angkor temples well worth looking at. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 5: Siem Reap: Chong Khneas Floating Village (B, L)
This morning, we will drive to the floating village of Chong Khneas, where we see the fisherman and fishmongers barter their products in the busy traffic on the waterways, and the fisherman return to the dock from fishing.
Return to the hotel for breakfast and be free or relax by the pool. We then enjoy Khmer Traditional Massage with a full body from feet to shoulder and head 60mn. Khmer massage is very relaxing, easing muscle tension and calming the mind. The rest of the day will be free for shopping at the Old Market. We spend the night in Siem Reap.
Day 6: Siem Reap – Yangon (B, D)
Time will be free until our car arrives to take us to the airport for a noon flight to Yangon. Welcome upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, we will transfer to our hotel. This evening, we will have dinner at Karaweik Palace, overlooking the Royal Lake and Shwedagon tower with fine Burmese food and an amazing cultural show. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 7: Yangon city tour (B, L)
Today, we continue visiting this former capital city. We first visit the Sule Pagoda, in the heart of Yangon city; Chaukhtayi Pagoda, and Kandawgyi Lake. After lunch, we discover the most outstanding pagoda in Yangon: Shwedagon Pagoda. The “Golden Pagoda” is really a must-see while we are in Myanmar. We will finish our day with free time for shopping in the bustling Scott market. (Note: the market is closed on Mondays and the gazette holidays). Overnight in Yangon.
Day 8: Yangon – Mandalay (B, L)
This morning, we will take a short flight to Mandalay, famous for the hub of Buddhism in Myanmar, Mandalay has a realm of stupas, monks, and monasteries. On arrival at Mandalay Airport, we will be welcomed by our local guide and transferred to our hotel.
After check-in, we will visit Mandalay Palace, Shwenandaw Monastery - noted for its exquisite woodcarvings, gold leaf beating workshop, and Kuthodaw Pagoda - known for containing the world’s largest book and conclude the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the sunset and the panoramic view of the city. Overnight accommodation in Mandalay.
Day 9: Mandalay - Amarapura - Sagaing (B, L)
Today is a full day to discover the attractions surrounding Mandalay. After breakfast at the hotel, we take a drive to Amarapura, which is famous for Mahagandaryone Monastery - the best place to experience the daily lives of the monks in Mandalay. Enjoying our walking over U Bein Wooden Bridge, the longest teakwood bridge in the world that gently curves across the serene Taungthaman Lake. To marvel at the incredible panorama of the bridge, there is no better way than taking a boat trip to capture its alluring from a far distance.
Next up, continue your scenic drive to Sagaing Hill where we will learn about the schooling of monks, and visit Buddha Cave, Umin Thonze Pagoda, and Sunooponnyashin Pagoda. Finally, fulfill your Mandalay tour by enjoying the panoramic view of Mandalay on the top of Sagaing Hill.

Day 10: Mandalay - Day boat to Bagan (B, L)
After breakfast at the hotel, our car will transfer us to the jetty for the daily boat along the Irrawaddy River from Mandalay to Bagan. Arrive in Bagan in the late afternoon between 15:00 and 17:00 depending on the water level, we will transfer to the hotel in Bagan for check-in. The rest of the day will be free at leisure. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 11: Bagan Tour (B, L)
Bagan is Myanmar’s archaeological wonderland and there are more than 3,000 ancient temples blossoming from the countryside. Start your day tour with a trip to the bustling Nyang U Market in Old Bagan and then explore the beauty of gold leaf Shwezigon Pagoda and learn about Burmese Buddhist traditions.
A visit to Ananda Temple is our next-day tour stop, stopping along the way on the Bagan plains to admire some of the surrounding temples. In the afternoon, take a tour of a local lacquerware workshop and explore how this traditional piece of art is made. Overnight in a hotel in Bagan.
Day 12: Bagan - Fly to Heho - Inle Lake sightseeing (B, L)
After breakfast at the hotel, we take a flight to Heho and drive to Inle Lake. Inle Lake, the second largest lake in Myanmar, is located 900 meters above sea level. The lake is home to the Intha People, a Tibeto-Burman ethnic group, known for their one-leg rowing techniques. Upon arrival, we board a motorboat for sightseeing to Phaungdawoo Pagoda, famed for its richly gilded five small Buddha images and also believed to be the holiest in Inle Lake.
Our next visit is to Ngaphechaung Monastery, known as the “jumping cat” pagoda. As we travel further into Nam Pan village cotton and lotus weaving factories and cigar-making houses will impress you with a sense of traditional Intha life. Overnight in Inle Lake.
Day 13: Inle Lake – Indein – Yangon (B)
This morning, we will visit the unique “5-Day Market” held in different villages surrounding the lake. This is absolutely a magnificent place to enjoy the scene of local tribes in their colorful clothes and then experience the exotic market atmosphere.
After lunch, the boat will take us to the beautiful temple of Indein, located on the hill overlooking the lake. It will certainly be relaxing to walk along the corridor and enjoy the giant columns which have been left of nature for centuries. We will then drive to the airport for an afternoon flight to Yangon. Overnight will be in Yangon.
Day 14: Yangon Departure (B)
