Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Yangon – Half-day city tour (D)
Greetings at the airport by our local tour guide and driver then transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, we begin to explore Yangon city by visiting the most prominent monument of Shwedagon Pagoda. This is a masterpiece that the architects and the builders of ancient left this country. After that, we embark on an orientation walk from Sule Pagoda to Chinese Town, covering exotic streets of Yangon downtown and British Colonial building as Emmanuel Church, and Inland Water Buildings. Enjoying a welcome dinner with an amazing cultural show at Karaweik Palace, overlooking the Royal Lake and Shwedagon Tower.
Day 2: Yangon – Fly to Bagan – City tour (B)
This early morning transfer to the airport to take a short domestic flight to Bagan. Hit the bustling Nyaung U Market in Old Bagan as you arrive then explore the beauty and gold leaf Shwezigon Pagoda and furthermore, learn about Burmese Buddhist traditions.
Highlight your afternoon with a visit to Ananda Temple, one of the most beautiful and well-preserved pagodas in Bagan featuring a great mix of the Mon and North Indian style. Stopping along the way on the Bagan plains to admire some of the surrounding temples. We also visit some local lacquerware workshops and see how to make the traditional craft of local people here. End of the day, we enjoy the panoramic sunset view from the second-highest pagoda of Bagan, the ShweSandaw Pagoda.
Day 3: Bagan full-day tour (B)
In addition to temples, our tour service provides a great overview of Bagan’s history, culture, and local lifestyles. Today see the real way of life for most Burmese people by visiting villages near Bagan to view the local lifestyle. Then you will experience Bagan from various perspectives as you explore the whole area by Pony cart which allows entering remote areas where cars are unable to do so.
In the late afternoon transfer to the jetty where a private wooden river boat is waiting. Sitting under the shade or on the open deck, you are able to be shown fabulous views as you cruise down the Irrawaddy River to Shwezigon Pagoda. A private Myanmar boat tour on the river during sunset time will hopefully show you a marvelous sight. Relax and enjoy the scenery. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 4: Bagan – Heho – Inle Lake (B)
Day 4 begins with an early morning flight to Heho then we drive to Inle Lake where we spend a full day exploring the most beautiful lake in Myanmar.
We first visit Phaungdawoo Pagoda, famed for its richly gilded five small Buddha images, which also is believed the holiest in Inle Lake. Be mesmerized by the floating Gardens, unique leg-rowers, traditional fishing Method, silk weaving, and stilt-house villages around the lake.
Then your guide also leads you to Ngaphechaung (Jumping Cat) Monastery, the largest wooden monastery in Inle Lake. Continue our journey further to Nam Pan village where empress us with a sense of traditional Intha life with cotton and lotus weaving factory, cigar-making houses…
Day 5: Inle Lake – Indein – Heho – Fly to Yangon (B)
After breakfast, visit the colorful market of the different villages surrounding the lake. This is definitely a fascinating place to enjoy the scene of local tribes in their colorful clothes and exotic market atmosphere.
After that, embark on a boat trip and row along the scenic channel to reach the beautiful Indein temple which is located on the hill overlooking the lake. It will be definitely relaxing to walk along the corridor and enjoy the giant columns which have been left to nature for centuries. Later afternoon, we take a flight back to Yangon. Greetings and welcome upon arrival. Later, say goodbye to Inle Lake to board a domestic flight to Yangon.
Day 6: Yangon Departure (B)
This morning spend the last minutes in your Myanmar itinerary for 6 days shopping at Treasure, Gems, and Handicraft shops or at the BogyokAung San (Scott) market before transferring back to the hotel for a departure flight.
