Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Yangon (D)
Mingalaba! Welcome to Yangon where your Myanmar tour begins. Upon arrival in Yangon international airport, meet your private guide and transfer to your hotel for check-in. overnight in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon Sightseeing Tour (B)
The second day in Yangon let you experience a full day sightseeing tour around the city. Get a glimpse at the typical British art and architecture featured on the building along the street as you drive along the street. From the post office proceed to the Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda where is home to the massive reclining Buddha image with 66 meters long. At the feet of the statue carved with intricated design characterized the exquisite Burmese art. You can get an insight into it as you listen to your guide.
Head to the Karaweik Hall – the huge golden barge floating over the Kandawgyi Lake where you will take the amazing photos. Highlight your afternoon sightseeing with a visit to the legend Shwedagon pagoda at the sunset time to behold the most magical moment of the pagoda under the sunset. Return to the hotel in the evening.
Day 3: Yangon - Bagan (B)
Get up early this morning to take a domestic flight to Bagan. Possessing over 2000 old temples and pagodas, Bagan is truly more a dizzy daydream for any travelers. Start your Bagan tour with a visit to the local Nyaung U Market to approach closer to the daily life of the Burmese people. Explore the art and architecture masterpiece of Bagan through the trip to the famous pagodas in the region.
Get to know more about the traditional handicraft of the locals as you enter the local lacquerware and workshops. Here you can directly talk with the craftsmen and learn how they create beautiful items. Following your lunch by a drive to the hill in the region to wait for the stunning sunset view over the flat area.
Day 4: Bagan & Villages (B)
Get up early this morning to enjoy the full day exploring Bagan and the villages surrounding. Unlike the most trips you have experienced, today you will have an opportunity to approach the beauty of ancient Bagan through a different perspective as you get on a pony cart ride to pass the rugged dusty paths.
Highlight your afternoon sightseeing with a breathtaking boat trip down the Irrawaddy River to Shwezigon Pagoda. Take time to sit on the sundeck and enjoy the scenic landscape on the riverside and wait for the moment when the sun is slowly going down behind the horizon.
Day 5: Bagan – Heho – Pindaya – Kalaw (Tea Leaf Experience at Dahu Village House) (B)
Says goodbye to Bagan this morning to board a domestic flight to Heho. Upon arrival, drive to Pindaya Cave where contain thousands of Buddha images and explore the huge meandering maze made up of numerous caves. Next, head to the Sin Khaung Monastery to behold the wooden Shan style monastery dating back to 200 years ago which is home to ancient bamboo Buddha images and bronze statues. Afterward, head to the nearby village to get the first-hand experience to contact with the locals and learn how they make the attractive bamboo hat, pottery, umbrella, and shan paper.
Drive to the Danu Village House from downtown by car for approximately 3 minutes, you can see how to make tea leaf salads by Danu lady and can also join. Pindaya is famous for having the best tea leaf salads and the best soy products in Myanmar. You can taste 2 different styles of tea leaf salads in a simple style and in Danu style salad, fried soybeans and other traditional snacks with Shan Tea. Stroll around the village to spend time with a local family that will introduce you to tea plantations and how they grow and sometimes also can see pickled tea leaves. Danu lady will explain about tea process. Later, return to the car and drive back to Kalaw.
Day 6: Kalaw – Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp – Inle Lake (B)
The morning of day 6 takes you to Magway elephant camp from Kalaw. Upon arrival, walk to the elephant village as you get all the information about the project. Here you will get the first-hand experience to see the life of mahouts (elephant trainers) and their families. Afterward, transfer to the river where you will have an amazing opportunity to wash elephants like your owned pet. Please be noticed that riding the elephant is not our main focus.
Our tour today aims at learning about the elephants as well as nature conservation. You can also expect to see colorful butterflies, birds, and orchids. If you wish, a chance to join in planting the regional tree for forest recovery is available. Later, go back to the main camp and take a break and enjoy the view through the valley before driving to Nyang Shwe and transferring to the hotel for check-in.
Day 7: Inle Lake Excursion (B)
Day 7 delivers you a full day to explore the poetic Inle Lake by boat. Stop at the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda for a short visit to the holiest religious pagoda in southern Shan State. Continue your Inle Lake excursion with the visit to the traditional village on the lake to discover the wonderful lotus weaving, handicrafts, wooden handlooms, and blacksmith production. It cannot more exciting than a visit to the Shan and Intha villages to learn about their unique methods of creating floating gardens, houses, and monasteries.
Your next stop in the 200 years old Nga Phe Chaung Monastery to observe the beautiful monastery built on stilts before proceeding to Nampan village to get to know about the local cheroot factory and canoe carving.
Day 8: Inle Lake – Indein (B)
Today continue your Inle Lake sightseeing tour by a boat trip cruising along the scenic channel where you will capture the images of the farmers working on their floating gardens. Your fantastic boat trip will bring you to the charming village of Indein where you will marvel at the great complex of ancient shrines and stupas.
Take time to walk across the exotic colonnades of stairways and shop stall before transferring to the nearby village to meet the "long neck" tribal women and gaze out at their traditional weaving and craft. From there row back to the lake where you will catch the most impressive image of the local fishermen who are famous for the unique leg-rowing technique. It is a feast for the senses and a photographer's dream.
Day 9: Inle Lake – Yangon (B)
Leave Inle Lake this morning to board a flight to Yangon. Upon arrival at Yangon city, head to the Bogyoke Aungsan Market (also known as Scott Market) – the main bazaar in the city to get a glimpse at the daily exchange of Burmese people and here you will see a variety of Myanmar souvenirs including Lacquerware, clothes, handicrafts, gems, and jewelry. A fascinating Yangon features with the excellent mix of the Burmese style and British colonial architecture will appear in front of you as you drive through the street.
You will stop at the impressive St Mary's Cathedral before transferring to the Sule Paya and 100 years old Yangon Synagogue where you will have a chance to meet the Trustee to learn about the Jewish Life in the Pagoda. Later, soak up the vibrant atmosphere in China town and Little India before returning to your hotel.
Day 10: Yangon – Departure (B)
