Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Yangon (D)
Mingalabar! Welcome to the Golden Land of Myanmar. Today, welcomed at the airport by a local tour guide and driver at Yangon International airport, then transfer to the city center where we spend a short time getting the very first look at the charming city. Enjoy your scenic drive through the city's colonial buildings to marvel at the fabulous mix of Burmese and colonial architecture that somehow have been faded but still be fascinating.
Before sunset, head to the World famous Shwedagon Pagoda, which is the pride of Yangon, if not Myanmar. Stroll around the temple to witness the golden dome light up the sunshine at the sunset. To gain more local experience, why don't you down your knees and pray like a local pilgrim and feel your soul purifying with the light breeze and the sound of ringing bells on the top of the stupa? Later on, check-in at the hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner overnight in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon City Tour (B)
Yangon city is a must-see city for tourists who want to see a different Asia. It’s the largest city in Myanmar with a combination of nature, cultures, and communities. This city was founded in 1755 by King Alaungpaya and Yangon means “End of Strife”. Today, we visit LawkaChantharArbayarLaba Muni Buddha Image (Kyauktawgyi).
After that, we visit Chauk Htat Gyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda to admire a colossal reclining Buddha. Then we transfer to Karaweik Hall Royal barge on the Royal lake for the photo stop. Finally, enjoy the view while your driver takes you through the Strand Hotel, Post Office, and City Hall which leads you to the 2500-year-old Sule Pagoda at the city center. Relax on the rest day.
Day 3: Yangon – Fly to Mandalay – Amarapura – Sagaing (B)
Take away breakfast which is prepared by the hotel, then we take our early morning flight to Mandalay, the royal capital where we spend a full day sightseeing. On arrival at Mandalay, take an excursion to Amarapura to visit Mahagandayon Monastery, the largest Buddhist teaching in Myanmar which is home to 2000 monks. Learning about the daily life of Burmese monks in the monastery will be an interesting experience.
After that, head to U Bein Bridge, the 200-year-old beautiful bridge which gently crosses Taungthaman Lake. With 1200 meters, it is said to be the longest and oldest teak bridge in the world. To marvel at the alluring of the picturesque lake, let's take a boat trip to sail around the serene Taungthaman Lake, enjoy a glass of champagnes and observe the local life. Later, drive to Sagaing where you will visit U Min Thonze Pagoda to observe the architecture as well as gain a panoramic view of the Irrawaddy River.
Day 4: Mandalay – Boat to Mingun (B)
After breakfast, we take the boat trip to Mingun village on the west bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River to see the Settawya Pagoda, a medium white temple housing a marble carving of a Buddha footprint. Then your guide also takes you to Mingun Pahtotawgyi, an impressive ruin which intently built as the world's largest Buddhist image but then was destroyed by an earthquake.
Take a leisure walk to the world-renowned ringing Mingun Bell & Myatheintan Pagoda, the dramatic white-washed temple built on the shape of Mt Meru, the famous mountain which is considered the center of the universe in Buddhist cosmology. Walking on the terraces of the temple is like stepping out of a new world. So never miss this experience once you visit the temple. On the way back to Mandalay we enjoy the sunset on the boat.
Day 5: Mandalay – Boat to Bagan (B)
Today we travel to Bagan by cruise ship along the Ayeyarwaddy River. Catching Bagan in the early evening, we check-in and relax. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 6: Bagan Exploration (B)
Bagan is a city that visitors can visit all year round. With more than 2,000 Pagodas & Temples dating back to thousand years ago, Bagan is one of the most fascinating places for visitors when traveling to this country. This is also an ideal place for beautiful local Art, such as Lacquerware, bamboo works & wonderful locally made cloth.
After breakfast, we visit Shwezigon Pagoda and its magnificent golden stupa where you can learn more about Buddhist teaching. Gaze out at Htilominlo Temple an elegant temple which survived many earthquakes noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decoration. Later on, we visit Myinkaba Village to observe the process of the Traditional Lacquerware Industry one of Myanmar’s best-known handicrafts.
In the afternoon, we visit Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece of the early-style temple with four impressive standing Buddha images. Enjoy the view through Thabinnyu Temple, the highest temple in Bagan, and Dhammayangyi Temple, one of the largest temples with its dramatic pyramid-shaped. Before sunset, transfer to the sunset hill and admire the majestic sunset over magnificent temples in the region. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 7: Bagan – Fly to Heho – Inle Lake (B, L)
We take an early morning flight to Heho and then drive to Inle Lake to take a boat trip to visit Phaungdawoo Pagoda, the holiest religious site in Shan State where enshrines five 800-year-old Buddha images. Along your boat trip, you will get authentic experiences of watching the Floating Gardens, Unique Leg-rowers, Traditional Fishing Method, Silk Weaving, and Stilt House Villages on the lake.
Your stunning boat trip then takes you to Ngaphechaung Monastery, the beautiful teakwood monastery built on stilts over 200 years ago. Previously, it is well known as the Jumping Cat Training Monastery, but now it is not available to watch anymore. Nevertheless, the monastery still provides you with a nice view of the mesmerizing floating garden surrounding it.
Day 8: Inle Lake – Indein Full Day by Boat (B)
Today we take a boat trip on Inle Lake by boat to visit Indein, a small village on the west of Inle Lake where you will visit the Shwe Indein Pagoda, a complex of over 1600 ancient stupas dating back to the 16th century with different sizes and shapes. Among them, some are well-preserved in gold, and some are dominated by nature over time.
Spending your time walking through the colonnade and observing the shop stalls which sell many interesting Burmese products. Then experience the Shan Cheroot making in the village before returning to the lake. Overnight in Inle Lake.
Day 9: Inle – Heho – Fly to Yangon – City Tour (B)
Say goodbye to Heho this morning to take a domestic flight back to Yangon. Upon arrival, we visit Bogyoke Aungsan Market – a paradise for shopping for Burmese souvenirs with an array of products such as gems, foods, tea, and clothes. (Note: the market is closed on Mondays and the gazette holidays).
After that, drive to the beautiful St Mary’s Cathedral for a quick look at the lovely red Catholic church which is noted for with impressive bridge design and dome architecture. From here head to Sule Pagoda to marvel at the landmark of Yangon which according to the legend that built over 2500 years ago.

Day 10: Yangon Departure (B)
