Full Itinerary
Day 1: Yangon Arrival – Syriam
Mingalabar! Welcome to Yangon – the largest and most vibrant city in Myanmar (Burma). Today, our guide will welcome you at the airport and then will take you to Syriam (also known as Thanlyin), a peaceful town where you will spend a full day visiting almost the very best sights. Your scenic drive will lead you through the tree-lined streets which provide you a window to the simple local life in the region.
Make your first visit to Kyaik Khauk pagoda which is a small version of Shwedagon pagoda in Yangon. The legend said that the pagoda enshrines two hairs of the Buddha. From there drive toward the southeast to reach Ye Le Paya, a glittering floating temple perched on an island. Not just sightseeing, you also have a chance to feed the fish around the temple. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon – Bagan (B)
After your breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport to board a domestic flight to Bagan to explore the beauty as well as the art of the last kingdom in the land of over 2000 temples. Start the day with a first visit to Nyaung U Market to gaze out at the daily trading of the Burmese people. After that, highlight your sightseeing in Bagan with a temple tour to enter almost the popular pagodas in the region including Shwezigon, Ananda, Htilomino, Thatbynyu..to discover the hidden charm of Burmese masterpiece.
Ultimately, complete your first day in Bagan by a visit to Shwenandaw Pagoda - the highest temple in Bagan to watch the sunset. This is a stunning experience that you should never miss while visiting Bagan.
Day 3: Bagan & Villages (B)
Wake up to the sound of bird-singing this morning and was ready for a full day of exploring the rural life in the countryside of Bagan. After breakfast, your guide will lead you to a village where you will visit some households to have an interesting meeting will the locals and see their daily life. Then this morning will deliver you two options:
Option 1: Sightseeing by bike
The flat area of Bagan is an ideal place to explore by bike. You can cycle along the snaking road, discover Bagan your way and stop at any spots you like to save your best photos.
Option 2: Get on an exotic Pony ride
For a long time, the horse cart has played a significant part in the life of people in the countryside of Myanmar. Hoping on a Pony cart will provide you with a different perspective on Bagan. The carriage will lead you to some destinations that no car can access. Your afternoon sightseeing includes a luxury cruise ship down the Irrawaddy River to Shwezigon pagoda. From the sundeck, you will capture one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world and see the image of local people living sparsely along the riverside.
Day 4: Bagan - Inle Lake – Red Mountain (Bike) (B)
Rise before dawn this morning to board a domestic flight to Heho airport, the gateway to Inle Lake. Upon arrival, our guide will take you directly to the morning market in Nyaung Shwe for a first glimpse at the local life in the region. Here you will capture the moment when the Buddhist nuns return from their morning alms. Continue traveling along the eastern shore of the lake, you will discover the village of Pa-Oh people where you will find out hundreds of ancient pagodas of different shapes and sizes.
In the afternoon, get on a bike and cycle up to the Red Mountain Estate to visit the first wine factory in Myanmar. If you wish, it is completely able to taste the best wine at the restaurant on the top of the mountain. Overnight in Inle Lake.
Day 5: Inle Lake – Indein (B)
Today continue your full-day exploration on a stunning boat trip around Inle Lake. Make your first visit to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, one of the most important sites in Shan State. From there passing through the exceptional floating gardens, houses, and monasteries, you will spend your next visits to the local handicrafts, silk weaving, traditional blacksmith, and wooden handlooms.
Not just sightseeing, we also take you to the village of Intha and Pa-Oh people to have an interesting interaction with the special long-neck women. You can spend time chatting with them and learn more about their weaving. Back to Inle Lake, it's time for you to hunt the best photos of the symbolic beauty on Inle Lake: the leg-rowing fishermen who practice the special rowing and fishing method using one leg to balance themselves on the boat and another leg to keep an oar. Overnight in Inle Lake.
Day 6: Inle Lake – Yangon
Say goodbye to Inle Lake this morning to board a flight to Yangon. Make your first visit today at Boyoke Market, the largest and most lively bazaar in the city. What's more, you can also find many interesting souvenirs, gems, jewelry, clothing, and food in the market as well. (Note: the market is closed on Mondays and the gazette holidays).
Continue passing through the city's street, you will catch a glimpse at the combination of British colonial and Burmese architecture on the buildings. Stop at St. Mary Cathedral for a short visit before entering the 2500-year-old Sule Pagoda at the roundabout of Mahabandola Road. Finish the last visit of the day at Chinatown and Little India to soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the people and street vendors. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 7: Yangon – Departure
After breakfast, enjoy your own leisure time and wait until the driver comes to pick you up to transfer to the airport to take your departure flight. Trip ends.
